Although the West Midlands has good trade and investment connections with China, we can all benefit from further developing the economic, social and cultural ties between China and the West Midlands.

We promote and collaborate with many different organisations to create series of events with China related elements at different times, in different places – starting with the Chinese New Year and finishing with Christmas.

For example, museums, theatres and art centres in the region could run exhibitions and shows with Chinese cultural themes. Similarly, the universities, schools, sports clubs, community organisations and business groups could run seminars and events throughout the year. The various local authorities could invite their twin cities in China to visit and participate in the events.
